Toastmasters Education Program

The educational program is the heart of every Toastmaster Club

When you join a Club you will receive your New Member Kit and be assigned a mentor to help you settle in and get through your early speaking roles. Every Club has a Vice President of Education who cooperatively nurtures your personal growth using the Toastmaster program.

At first you will be offered short assignments and, as you gain confidence, further opportunities will grow with you. You can go as fast or as slow as you want. Once you become a member you can begin the educational program right away!


Your New Member Kit includes:

 

The Competent Communicaton manual – a program of ten graduated presentations with detailed public speaking objectives such as organisation of a speech, body language, vocal variety and audio visual techniques. Each presentation will be constructively evaluated using proven Toastmaster techniques. Ultimately, you will also become an evaluator of members’ presentations.

The Competent Leadership manual – Leadership is the art of understanding the needs of others, to communicate effectively and inspire people to work to work towards common goals. Learn leadership theories and put them into practice within your Club and beyond. Become the speaker and leader you want to be. Confident, trustworthy and inspirational. Sharpening your management skills in the safety of a supportive Club.
