Central Division Officer Resources

Toastmasters Leadership Institute training (Formerly known as COT) is normally conducted in two rounds within each Toastmasters year (financial year).

The first is held in June just prior to the new Toastmasters year and the second is held in February.

The following information is normally provided to attendees as handouts.

Toastmster of the Year Award

This award recognises a Toastmaster within Central Division that has contributed beyond the bounds of what would normally be expected, where they have done something to assist others in achieving their goals and made a difference to the Division.

Useful Information

Toastmasters Structure

Each Toastmaster is a member of 1 or more clubs. Each club is part of an Area.
In South Australia, we have 5 areas – C7, C8, C9, C10 & C11. Each area is looked after by an Area Governor.

The areas are part of a Division. Our division, known as Central Division covers all of South Australia.

Divisions are part of a District. We are part of District 73. The other Divisions include: Northern, Southern,
Eastern, Ranges, Bass & Metro which are all Victorian based Divisions.

2013 – 2014 Competitions Recommended Schedule

Club competitions should begin as soon as possible to ensure adequate time for the running of Area competions prior to the end of the calendar year.

* Humourous and Evaluation CLUB competitions are run together and completed by end August.

* Humourous and Evaluation AREA competitions are run from September 1 and completed by end of November.

* International and Table Topics CLUB competitions are run together and completed by end August.

* International and table Topics AREA competitions are run between October 1 and completed by end of November.

* Division level competitions are to be run during the March (Division Conference) each year.

* District level competitions are to be run in May each year.

Please work with your Area Governor to ensure appropriate schedules are met.
